30 for $30

This week’s Two Step class saw the return of the “Hardest Two-Step Pattern Ever!” Well not that its really too difficult but there are a couple of moving parts that require some slow practice to nail down. Then we transitioned into the second week of “Musicality for Dummies” and I left more confused than ever! (lol)

This week we are back into the swing of things with 2-Step and WCS both being regular patterns. I have included the videos incase you want to get a head start! 


30 for $30
For the rest of 2016 I will be offering private lessons at a reduced rate. My typical rate is $65 for a 45 minute lesson. From now till the end of December (depending on availability) I will be offering mini lessons of 30 minutes for $30. 45 minutes is a long time for one on one learning. Most people can only work on one concept at a time so this gives enough time to really go deep without frying the brain. Class 1: “From a caterpillar to a butterfly!” – Fabulously easy and fun ways to shape your dance. If you have been looking for the most efficient and easy way to stylize your dance as a leader or follower this class is an absolute must! 

Class 2: “Crazy Cool Connection” – Did you know there are three kinds of connection in WCS? Angelique is going to break your connection down while building your confidence as a leader or follower. There is no heavy lifting here. If you are looking for confidence and want a path out of your shell then this is the class you have been looking for!

In West Coast Swing some instructors come, go, and change like the weather here in New England. Others like this month’s guest instructor, Angelique Early, have been a fixture in the swing community for years. Known for her dynamic style and musicality, Angelique has won numerous West Coast Swing competitions. She has been partner dancing for more than 15 years, and has taught in the Greater Springfield/ Hartford  area for over 12 years. A special education high school teacher by day; Angelique knows how to break down concepts to reach all ability levels and learning styles. Having taught students of all age levels over the past 20 years, Angelique has a unique perspective on the pacing of the lesson required to match the needs of her students. This knowledge, combined with her winning personality, makes her classes both fun and educational.

The Boat Is This Sunday!

This is my favorite party to DJ every year! Nothing makes me happier than playing wholesome music to people who appreciate me for censoring the story line for the evening. Many people bring their kids to this event because they don’t have to worry that they will hear something that is not appropriate for their impressionable minds. Music is what lifts me up and I use it to lift my audience up…Aside from the fact that you are donating to something that is touching the lives of those who need it, you will be hard pressed to have a better time, for 3 times the money, anywhere else! If you can’t make it I hope that you will consider donating anyways because its a great cause…you owe it to your self to make it and bring a couple friends with you!

We set sail aboard the Captain Ladies III and cruise to the the greatest hits of the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, and one of two from today that make the cut. Come have a great time with friends and family on the Newburyport harbor!!

(150 people max capacity so resale ticket are first come first serve…We sell out every year so don’t wait till the last minute!)

All proceeds from this years cruise are going to help fund a large youth event in India hosted by “Vision India”. We’re looking to help sponsor young people for this event paying for their travel, food, and housing costs along with follow up training.

Your night out of fun can help put boots on the ground in areas that need positive young roll models, leaders, and the gospel in the global south!

If you know of anyone that would possibly like to sponsor this party by picking up all or part of the tab for the boat ($1150) we will gladly fly their banner and make several announcements advertising their business throughout out “3 Hour Tour!”
